Ny times: Is organized and has there information together. Their story's are well worded and nicely put together. The anytime put a lot of details in there article about the long island serial killer. They let us know what is going on, like when they told us that the missing girl isn't any of the bodies found.

Is this new? : yes this is new. the news is meant to inform us about whats going on in our surroundings. The serial killer is something that should be broadcasted because people need to know to watch there backs in the street to not be to comfortable.

Why does the news cover stories that aren't stories? Well thats because people like to know things. Like I said before the missing girl is brought up so peep know to be on a look out for her. Her parents are obviously looking for her. Whats isn't news for us can be news for her parents. Todays papers all have similar stories related to this topic because people should know what is going on, like if the killer was captured people should know that so they shouldn't be scared to walk their dog after work or take there jogs in the morning.

What are we being told and why ?

We are being told what is happening internationally and nationally. The news is telling us what to be aware of and how to take precaution. But in some news we are being told lies to catch more peoples attention. They tell us what we would like to here.

This story has leg because the police discover more and more bodies everyday. The person causing this is still out there and maybe there are still more bodies out there. It Keeps us coming back for more. The Long Island Serial Killer is an active story.

my opinion on this situation is pint less russia shouldn't be having the problems they are having. The senate should sign the bill to help the U.S nhibit American plans to build missile defense systems.from what i have read the treaty requires the U.S and Russia to decrease their nuclear stocks so that in seven years of "ratification neither deploys" more than 1,550 strategic soldiers and 700 launchers. I thinks amazing what you will read in the news

OMG today is report cards and I am really scared. Im not a bad student in school I just dont give school my all. I hope im not disappointed with it. I get it in to more periods I am soo scared to see it. i hope it good, my last marking period average was 84.43. my parents are going to be soooooooo upset e=wit me if its lower.. well the bell is about to ring.. wish me luck :[

Families :)

tOdays topic is about families. every bodys families are different. families traditionally hinges on relations between parents and children, parents and, or on both. Some families have more problems then other. well my family is just right, we may have our ups and downs but we still manage to get along at the end of the day. there are families out there where the children are victims of abuse and are better off adopted. also some parents are better off in jails. this topic brings the child named it, to my mind. he was really treated wrong for no reason .

pacer test

i took the pacer yesterday and i did 22 and i couldn't breath. i almost past out. i personally don't think we should have them cause the kids health conditions. after gym i walked up to the third floor and i couldn't breath i cough all threw out the whole 10th period. kids that are out of shape physically (fat) should have to do it. i know it don't sound fair but it is true not all kids should  have to run like that..smhh

winter festiaval

the 2010 winter festival is tonight and it better be good this year. last year it was awful i did not like it at all. some of the kids don't know how to do anything right. the only thing i like was the drum line but even then the started playing the same thing over. van buren sucks so much its only surtin people make me want to come to school. this school was better when my brother was here a couple years ago.

In my little time in high school I've seen every type of weave. I've seen blue, pink, red, blond, purple, and orange. What I don't understand is the parents allow there daughter's to walk out the house like that. Their hair color doesn't go with there skin complexion, and people continue to complement them on how they look when the person giving the complement doesn't mean it. Everyone is trying to be something their not and I don't understand why. But their are normal people in this school who wear normal wigs or weave sometimes you cant even tell whether its fake.

The N word

Kids now a days use the word nigger as a way to call their friends over. Adults think of it as a very bad thing, they know the troubles their parent and grandparents went through with all the slavery and what not. I cant say i don't use it but i grew up around kids constantly saying it. Now getting older I see at as a bad thing. Niggers were originally black now you here White, Hispanic, Asians, and Indians all say the word to call there friends over. In class today i had a conversation about the word and I noticed we expressed as a good thing..

Missing

Dear Readers:

Have you ever had a day where you felt like it can always have went so much better ? The feeling that something is missing ? Today was my day. I woke up and something just didn't feel right, I went to school and did what I do every day. I see my friends and we laugh at each others jokes and I'm happy but I still have this feeling of emptiness. I start to think to my self whats missing ? does anyone ever find the answer to the feeling ? I don't. So I go to class and try to complete this day with out thinking about my feeling. In class I start to day dream and start thinking about why I feel like this until the period is over.

High school girls

OK so its like 40 degrees outside and I seem to find girls wearing dresses with no stockings and with no sleeves is it me or is there something wrong with that ? its freezing out side and girls some how seem to show unnecessary body parts like there stomachs. I feel like there trying to get the wrong attention. Sometimes I walk in the halls and i here girls talking about this and they hate the fact that, they cant walk with a boy with out 'those' girls walking by and the boy starring at them. Some things high school girls do or wear are very unnecessary & it makes girls with low self esteem feel worse about them selves.  Its not really fare.

Scanning -.-

sooooo today there was SCANNING at school. They confiscated a lot of  phones but luckily i left mines at home. My friend got her phone through with out the scanners detecting anything. I miss my phone so much, I can wait to get home. I personally feel that we should be aloud to have phones at school. Just incase one day a student at my school becomes a victim of a crime that they would have a chance to call the cops before anything happens to them. When Van Buren confiscates our phones we dont get it back for another 2 weeks or so. In my opinion a lot can happen in 2 weeks.

So I'm walking in the halls 6th period to go to math tutoring and the deans and security guards surround the 3rd floor. which is surprising because there is usually never anyone on the 3rd floor. I'm heading to tutoring and this short little security guard  starts yelling at my friends and I while we are waiting for the lady to open the door and my friend starts yelling back at her. So we all walk into the room and walk back out. The halls are completely empty. It was like no one was ever even there. something i learned while attending Van Buren is that thee security guards are sexiest the females likes the males and the male guards like the females, they treat us nicer. -_-

So today's topic is about relationships, since that's what everyone seem to want. Relationships are very satisfying, they help us overcome loneliness and it also helps us to look our best. A two-parent family is also the most successful setting for the care and upbringing of children well that's what my parents tell me, but I don't find it to be true. But it is not all fun in games, and there are so many problems that can mess up a relationship especially a teens relationship & one of the problems are going to the same high school as your boyfriend or girlfriend – which is ultimately why many teen couples are looking for some effective advice.
